The Classics should be played in four hours or less. Play without delay.
Keep up with the group in front of you - not the group behind you.
When it is your turn, be ready to hit with club selected, and lie and stance surveyed. Help watch where your companions' balls are hit, so that you can find them quickly. There can be up to a five-minute delay to search for a lost ball.
Be ready to putt when it is your turn. Examine the line and speed while others are putting ahead of you. First one to putt out should replace the flag stick.
Enter your score at the next tee, not at the green you are leaving.
Procedures if you pick up on a hole or do not finish play
If your handicap allows 1 or 2 strokes on a hole, you write down par plus 1 or 2 strokes.
If you are on the green, whatever you lay plus what you would realistically putt (1 or 2 putts).
If you played 13 holes, you post your score. Any questions, please check with our pro.
